We’ve started skateboarding! It was the idea of one of our work coaches who went to a skateboard park somewhere in the south of England where he recognised that it brought lots of different types of people together. It can appeals to those who are neurodivergent, those feeling isolated, those who are young and not yet worked out a future pathway. Skateboarding brings people together and encourages them to support each other. It is not particularly competitive, so people learn from each other, support each other and develops teamwork, building confidence and promoting well-being.

Zink has had a successful year in many ways. That might sound surprising for a charity working with families and individuals experiencing hardship, mental illness, isolation, homelessness and similar vulnerabilities,
